In 1955, Mother Vernice Ivy was introduced to Holiness and the Church of God In Christ under the leadership of Elder Moses Boles, Pastor of the Wyatt Church of God In Christ. For the past 60 years, Mother Vernice Ivy has been an active member of the Church of God In Christ.

Mother Ivy has served in 5 jurisdictions from Missouri to Illinois to Florida and North Dakota. Mother Ivy is no stranger to hard work and has labored faithfully over the years. Mother Ivy is a seasoned Woman of God and has obtained a wealth of knowledge related to church work and has held numerous position on the local and jurisdictional levels. She has served in every local auxiliary band and has served as First Lady.

Mother Ivy believes in doing things the right way and continues to be an example to the women in her local church as Church Mother and as District Missionary of the Unity District. Mother Ivy is a mother of 5 children naturally and hundreds spiritually.
